Basic car toolkit

Here's a basic list of minimum tools that you must have in your vehicle at all times before you hit the offroad trail:

1. Screw Driver - long, short, flat, phillips/cross head, etc

2. A set of hex / allen keys

3. Zip Ties, long and short

4. Full set of spanners from number 3 till number 22

5. Insulation Tape

6. Pliers

7. Blades

8. Working gloves

9. Crow bar

10. Tyre puncture kit

11. Vehicle jack and wheel nuts spanner

12. Wheel Chocks

13. Flashlight/ work lamp

14. Warning reflector triangles

15. Safety reflective vest

16. Mseal

17. Cleaning cloth

18. Rags to soak up oil

19. Multitool knife

20. Disposable gloves when working with oil/grease

21. Tyre pressure gauge

Additional optional extras:

1. Tyre Compressor

2. Hammer

3. Locking Plier

4. Bottle Nose plier

5. Piece of wood to support jack in soft terrain

6. Spares like: hose pipe, fan belt, assorted fuses, headlight bulbs

7. Teflon tape

8. Hose pipe repair tape

9. Metal welding putty like JB Weld

10. Funnel to fill oil/fuel

11. Large Knife

12. Axe

13. Jumper Cables

14. Ratchet straps / bungee cords

15. Tyre Valves - ideally Colby valves
